Milwaukee Bucks iconBucks Look to Deal Redd for Right Price - Milwaukee Bucks

June 8, 2008
If pressed to choose an all-good-guy local team from recent times, Michael Redd might head a roster that would include, among others, Ray Allen, Craig Counsell, Michael Curry, Mark Pope, Scott Williams, Jim McIlvaine, Charlie Bell and Bill Hall, even if the last two have managed to draw our fandom's ire.

Redd is such a righteous guy that I might even support his nomination for membership into the Hank Raymonds-Dick Bennett-Pat Richter Club for all-around decency.

But the problem is, even in a character-driven city like Milwaukee, good character doesn't always win games. Bad character can destroy a team, as was the case when the Bucks dumped Williams to sign Anthony Mason, but here's the bottom line since Redd became the face of the team upon the breakup of the Big Three: Eighty games below .500 and one playoff victory.

With Gilbert Arenas back on the floor, the Washington Wizards fell apart in too many ways to count in the fourth quarter. Forget all his dramatics: Agent Zero had the show stolen by a rookie making his first NBA game-winner.

Milwaukee Bucks iconRedd's Three-point Buzzer-beater Stuns Cleveland - Milwaukee Bucks

February 27th, 2008
Michael Redd hit a three-point basket as the final horn sounded, giving the Milwaukee Bucks a 105-102 victory over the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

LeBron James had just hit a tying layup with 5.9 seconds left when Redd launched a 27-foot shot from the left side that sailed through the basket with 0.1 of a second remaining on the clock. After a replay review, officials ruled the shot was good.

Mo Williams scored a season-high 37 points for Milwaukee, which has won three of its past four games -- with victories over Cleveland, Denver and Detroit.

Milwaukee Bucks iconVillaneuva Considering Surgery, Could Be Done For Season - Milwaukee Bucks

January 7, 2007
Billy Ceisler, the agent for Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva, said the former UConn standout got second and third opinions from doctors in New York on Thursday to address a nagging shoulder injury and surgery could be required. If so, it could end Villanueva's season.

"I don't know yet," Ceisler said by phone Friday while driving to Continental Airlines Arena to watch client Ben Gordon and the Bulls play the Nets. "We got differing opinions and differing forms of treatment. ... We'll have to wait and see but we plan to make a decision by Monday or Tuesday."
