Eight different players have started at least once in the seven games since LaMarcus Aldridge sprained his ankle in that loss to the Sonics. Four different starters have gone down with injuries during that time, at least one of whom — center Joel Przybilla — was lost for the season.

Brandon Roy launched a rally for the Portland Trail Blazers' final 24 games.

He told his teammates: "Let's make a push, you guys!"

Portland responded with a 119-111 victory Friday night over the Los Angeles Lakers. Roy had 20 points and a career-high 12 assists after missing the previous two games with a sprained right ankle.

Brandon Roy had 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists a night after being picked for his first All-Star game, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the New York Knicks 94-88 in overtime Friday night.

It was Roy's first career triple-double. Steve Blake added 18 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 17 points and eight rebounds for Portland, which is 19-5 at the Rose Garden this season.

Rookie Brandon Roy sent the game into overtime and veteran Zach Randolph delivered in the extra period for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Roy's shot at the buzzer saved Portland from another loss and Randolph scored six of his 32 points in overtime to lift the Blazers to a 110-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

Trailing 95-93, Roy forced overtime with a 15-foot, fallaway jumper over John Salmons. The sixth overall pick in the 2006 draft, Roy finished with a career-high 23 points.

In what could be his last game in a Portland uniform, Ruben Patterson scored 25 points in a 110-106 loss against the Bobcats. After the game, Patterson exclaimed to those gathered outside the Blazers' locker room" "Bang, bang! What a way to go out, hey?" Patterson, however, would not formally confirm a deal was in the works to move him out of Portland.
